Jeremy Piercy founded SHARED EARTH in 1986 when he opened a small shop in York, selling crafts from Africa, Asia and South America. His main aim has always been to address the imbalance of wealth.
SHARED EARTH has shops in York, Leeds, Liverpool and the Isle of Wight. It also sells through its online shop, and wholesales to over 800 retailers around the UK and abroad.
Jeremy regularly travels with other SHARED EARTH staff to visit overseas producers. "This keeps everyone focused on the same goals; to create ethically sustainable products and check that the money is getting to the people who need it most," says Jeremy.
